Welcome to Equality4America and thank you for taking the time to visit our blog! We welcome you to join our discussion about equality in America. We here are E4A are strong advocates for equality in four particular aspects: gender, race, economic and sexuality and have finally decided to act on expressing our dissatisfaction with the conversations held thus far in American society about equality and E4A is what we’ve come up with. Please share your thoughts, ideas or opinions with us on how we can better our nation.
E4A’s mission is for our audience to educate not only themselves but also each other about this essential criterion for a better America. We desire to create a forum for conversation about how equality in our great country can be enhanced or improved. We believe that equality is essential to the progression of America because, in a time where rapid change is upon us, with our country’s first African American president in office, we see an opportunity for a productive discussion about the equality of all Americans to occur. With our country’s newly adopted political change, we believe this calls for a cultural one as well. With President Obama in office, we believe that the topics of equality and possibility for America are at their peak of potential achievement in our local, and national, communities.
In order to better go about discussing the four areas of equality we feel most passionate about, we have split the blog into the 4 respective sections mentioned above (race, gender, economics and sexuality). In each section, you will find individual commentary from each one of us. But this blog is about you too! Keep your eyes open for posts titled ” Penny for you thoughts!” or “Tell us what you think!” as those will be prime opportunities for you not only to share your thoughts, opinions, critiques, ideas etc but it is also a chance for you to further discuss an aspect of equality we have yet to examine on E4A. Feel free to comment as many times and as often as you would like. All we ask is that all comments be appropriate and respectful.
Now that we’ve covered the basics, stop just reading about helping and acting…do it! We’re anxious to hear what you have to say so get started! Again, thank you and enjoy!
Sincerely,
The E4A team
